Bonjour from Paris! Today, I’m thrilled to attend the Hermès SS25 show. Fashion Week in Paris is always a whirlwind, but I love starting my day with a green juice and coffee to stay energized.
Growing up in Pampanga, Philippines, my journey began in Manila, where I worked as a model to help fund my studies at Ateneo de Manila University. After earning my degree in communications at 20, I moved to New York City to pursue modeling full-time. Things quickly took off— in 2018, I became the first Filipino-American to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway, and the following year, I made history as the first model from the Philippines featured in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue.
This season, I’ve been attending shows all over Paris, including the stunning Hermès SS25 presentation, where I wore a chic all-leather Hermès ensemble. I’ve been documenting the experience through a photo diary, sharing intimate moments from my Fashion Week adventure.
Prepping for the Show: Eye masks are essential for a fresh look before any event. I spent the morning texting friends who were also attending the Hermès show. Despite the hustle, Fashion Week is a rare chance to catch up with everyone in one city—it’s even better when you’re surrounded by friends!
Choosing My Look: Deciding between a monochromatic look or a pop of color, I opted for timeless elegance. Hermès is renowned for its leather, so it felt perfect to embrace a full leather outfit. I adore the intricate details, like the double zipper and the polished hardware.
Arriving at Hermès: The Garde Républicaine, where Hermès hosts each season, was buzzing with street style. It’s always inspiring to see everyone’s unique fashion choices. I also got to catch up with my friend Heart—it’s always a special moment to share these experiences with fellow Filipinas.
Final Thoughts: I fell in love with a few pieces from the runway, especially a stunning bag that I’d love for fall. And the brown hues from this collection? Absolutely dreamy! Huge congratulations to Nadège Vanhée for another iconic show. Until next time, Paris!
